A message from the President

I would like to welcome you to the official website of the Cooma Chamber of Commerce Inc.

The Chamber strives to be a highly focussed organisation providing leadership to encourage opportunities for our business community and through this ensure Cooma continues to provide a robust and healthy environment consistent with the availability of a wide range of sustainable services to the greater community.

This website forms part of the Chamber's delivery strategy through which existing Cooma businesses can be promoted, the networking of local business and business organisations (including regional, State and Federal) can be effectively facilitated, provide a "go to" online site for individuals and companies wishing to do business with local Cooma based businesses as well as businesses considering establishing in a well located regional centre.

The Chamber is working closely with Snowy Monaro Regional Council to develop marketing strategies for the town that promote the concept of Live, Work, Invest and Play.  We love our town and this philosophy has led to our town branding of “So Much to Love”.

Extending the branding and marketing campaign we now have our successful Cooma Gift Card.  With the assistance of our generous sponsors, Snowy Hydro and the Cooma Ex Services Club, neither customers nor businesses pay a cost for participating in this program.  This has assisted in the fastest takeup that the program organisers, Why Leave Town Promotions have seen.  To join the program businesses must be a member of the Cooma Chamber of Commerce.

With approximately 95 members the Cooma Chamber of Commerce is growing strongly.  Our philosophy it to extend and support all businesses in the town, both large and small, so we welcome enquiry from potential members.
