The Cooma Chamber of Commerce Love to Christmas Shop campaign is in full swing with over 35 businesses opening for extended hours. This is a great initiative to promote local businesses and to encourage residents to shop local. The first extended trading will this Friday night 16 December and then the following Friday night 23 December with participating shops open until 7.00pm.
“Be sure not to miss the fun on Friday 16 December as it will be a great family evening in Cooma, all participating shops will be open until 7.00pm, there will be Santa photos, a vintage fire engine and the night will be capped off with Carols in the Park from 7.00pm, so join in the fun and support this great initiative” advised Richard Mack, Vice President of the Cooma Chamber of Commerce.
To coincide with the Love to Shop Christmas campaign the Chamber is running the So Much to Love bumper sticker competition. This has been a lot of fun and last week’s winner was Di Good . Di Good was presented her $100 Why Leave Town Cooma Gift Card to spend at any Cooma business which is a member of the Cooma Gift Card program by Karen McGufficke Chamber Executive Officer.
So Much to Love bumper stickers are available when you make a purchase at shops showing the Love to Christmas Shop poster on their shop windows. Simply put one on your car and if you are spotted you will go into the draw for two more chances to win a Why Leave Town Cooma Gift Card valued at $100.
